The first wristwatch created by Rexhep Rexhepi without a tourbillon, the AK-06 is nevertheless far from a simple timepiece. The mechanical complexity of the AK-06 is underlined by the open dial, which distinguishes the model as the first ATELIER AKRIVIA wristwatch without a conventional dial. The open-worked dial reveals a multitude of handcrafted details such as hand-hammering, perlage and anglage.

The AK-06’s movement showcases Rexhep Rexhepi’s commitment to symmetry and mechanical artistry. Each element on the open dial has been meticulously positioned for visual balance and mechanical function.The twin racks for the power reserve indicator, for instance, mirror each other. On the reverse, the centre wheel is secured by an elongated polished steel bridge, while the gear train and balance wheel are set on separate cocks, all of which are hand-finished with traditional techniques.

For unparalleled accuracy, the AK-06 features both hacking and zero-reset mechanisms for the seconds, allowing setting of the time with pinpoint accuracy. When the crown is pulled, the seconds hand returns to zero while the balance wheel is halted.
