REXHEP REXHEPI

Chronomètre Contemporain II

Dead-beat Seconds Celebrating a Decade
First In-house Conventional Case

The Chonomètre contemporain II dead-beat seconds with a handcrafted conventional rose gold case

Refined Aesthetic

A refinement of the design language established by the RRCC I, the REXHEP REXHEPI Chronomètre Contemporain II (RRCC II) retains the elegance of its predecessor, once again featuring a dial crafted in grand feu enamel with a sector layout characterized by alternating Roman numerals.

Each version, in either platinum or rose gold, is paired with a dial designed specifically to complement the case material. The rose gold version features an ivory-colored enamel dial with black enamel print markings.

Reliable Timekeeping

While preserving the dial aesthetics of the original model, the RRCC II introduces an entirely new calibre with twin barrels and an independently driven dead-beat seconds. This mechanical refinement was designed to optimize the movement’s energy consumption and achieve a high level of chronometric performance. It is also equipped with a system of cams and levers that enables the seconds hand to be reset to zero, combined with a balance-stop device, thereby ensuring highly precise time setting.

Case and Craftsmanship

The case of the RRCC II was developed under the direction of renowned case maker Jean-Pierre Hagmann and is now produced in-house. Comprising 16 individual components, it draws inspiration from mid-20th-century gentlemen’s watches, with elegant lugs giving it a graceful silhouette. Every component of the case is meticulously polished by hand to highlight the exceptional craftsmanship that defines AKRIVIA’s ethos.

The case has been subtly redesigned compared to the RRCC I in order to refine its proportions and balance, including elongated lugs and an enlarged crown for more tactile winding. Other refinements include a sapphire crystal with a more pronounced dome.
